reflecting telescopes video

Tools of Astronomy Song. Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy. It's been 26 really long years No days of torture but he was bitter Galileo was forced to stay home Because he made better telescopes with more power La, la, la, the inquisition, la, la, la, not geocentric, la, la, la oh well, la, la, la Look at the sky tonight, tonight At observatories on top of the world Tonight, satellites, are dancing on edge of the atmosphere Telescopes could be reflecting, radio or refracting Making light, more bright, of the sky, tonight He saw that Jupiter had many moons Was able to see Saturn, Milky Way has many stars Surface of the moon was not so smooth Thanks Galileo Galilei La, la, la, whatever, la, la, la, heliocentric, la, la, la, oh well, la, la, la Look at the sky tonight, tonight At observatories on top of the world Tonight, satellites, are dancing on edge of the atmosphere Telescopes could be reflecting, radio or refracting Making light, more bright, of the sky, tonight You got me singing like Whoa, come on, ohh, it's all matter, whoa, everybody now, ohh Telescopes reflecting use mirrors Keep the light up and shoot it on down But refracting use convex lenses Focus the light to the eyepiece lens Radio detects low vibration Focus the waves from far outer space Satellites can see UV, x-rays Gamma rays in the atmosphere And a spectrograph breaks the light down and it Splits the colors to show what's around and Temperature and chemical ...
